# deletePolicy

## Overview

Delete a scaling policy.

## Request

### Request parameters

| Parameter name | Required | Type | Restrictions | Description |

| policyName | Yes | String | Min: 1, Max: 255 | Name of scaling policy to delete |
| autoScalingGroupName | Yes | String | Min: 1, Max: 255 | Enter the name of the auto scaling group whose policy you want to delete. |
