# changeServerInstanceSpec

Available in VPC

Change the specifications of a stopped server instance (VM).

## Request

This section describes the request format. The method and URI are as follows:

| GET \| POST | /vserver/v2/changeServerInstanceSpec |

This guide is based on the GET method. POST method call tests can be performed through Swagger in the API Gateway service of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

### Request headers

### Request query parameters

You can use the following query parameters with your request:

| `regionCode` | String | Optional | Region code - See [getRegionList](/docs/en/compute-vserver-server-common-getregionlist). - First Region in the query results (default) |
| `serverInstanceNo` | String | Required | Server instance number - See [getServerInstanceList](/docs/en/compute-vserver-server-getserverinstancelist). |
| `serverSpecCode` | String | Conditional | Server (KVM, RHV, XEN) specification code - Can only be changed within the same product type (productType) and detailed disk type (diskDetailType [HDD, SSD]). - Can't be used ad the same time with `serverProductCode`. - See [getServerSpecList](/docs/en/compute-vserver-server-common-getserverspeclist). |
| `serverProductCode` | String | Conditional | Server (KVM, RHV, XEN) product code - Can only be changed within the same product type (productType) and detailed disk type (diskDetailType [HDD, SSD]). - Can't be used ad the same time with `serverSpecCode`. - See [getServerProductList](/docs/en/compute-vserver-server-common-getserverproductlist). |
| `responseFormatType` | String | Optional | Format of the response data - `xml` (default) \| `json` |
