# Function calling

Classic/VPC 환경에서 이용 가능합니다.

Function calling을 지원하여 외부 함수나 API 호출을 통해 동적으로 정보를 가져오거나 작업을 수행할 수 있는 v3 Chat Completions에 대해 설명합니다.

## 요청

요청 형식을 설명합니다. 요청 형식은 다음과 같습니다.

참고

HyperCLOVA X Function calling은 Chat Completions v3, 오픈AI 호환 API에서만 사용할 수 있으며, 튜닝 모델의 경우에는 지원하지 않습니다.

참고

일부 필드 입력 시 다음 내용을 확인해 주십시오.

- `role`: `system`인 [대화 메시지](/docs/clovastudio-chatcompletionsv3-fc#messages)는 요청당 1개만 포함할 수 있습니다.
- Fuction calling은 추론 또는 이미지 해석과 동시에 요청할 수 없습니다.
- Function calling은 결괏값 생성 시 사용하는 최대 토큰 수(`maxTokens` 또는 `maxCompletionTokens`)를 1024 이상으로 설정해 주십시오.
